Re: Anyone else think this is total BS?

I hear ya Counts, except for THIS part:
What I am asking is should parents be able in the fucture to correct that genetic disorder/varenance? (I would compare it to having a child that is deaf (which is also non life threaning) that could hav that issue resolved with colcular implants)
You see it as a disorder/variance. Gay people don't. Does this mean that if gene therapy is available to a gay couple using a surrogate mother to get a child, that if they want, they could use gene therapy to ensure the child is born gay, not straight which to them is a "disorder/variance"?

Gene therapy to fix and/or manipulate things a certain way is a slippery slope brother. Not everyone's view of "normal" is the same. So, who decides? Pretty dicey from there.

Its not bashin, its plain fact. If I had a dollar for every time mikejones called a poster "stupid". They are the most misinformed people I have ever seen post on here. When they have no valid argument, they start bashing. They are jerks.
It dosn't matter how new my account is, I have earned as much right to post negative comments as any other poster. I've been viewing this board in one form or other on and off for years.
They have managed to throw smartassed personal attacks that have nothing to do with the subject of the posts. imported_mikejones has been banned more than once for a reason

I know a little bit about a lot and a lot about a little bit. Don't know everything, don't claim to. Like to talk, like to argue and debate, hate to fight. Might offend some, don't take it personally.

Biggin's right. MikeJones has had some times on the edge of getting a warning/ban in the past, but is overall a decent poster. Monkeyhead is one of the best posters we have on the board and has been for years.

Just because someone disagrees with you adamantly doesn't mean they're a "bad poster". Now if they start going over the line--that's for the admins/mods to worry about...not you.

I agree with you which is why I used the deaf example ince my couson and his considers that to be normal however it is also somethng that many see as somethng than needs to be fixed for quality of life and is also not life threating.

SO getting back to the organal arument If there were a gene theropy avalable should a parent have a right to "fix" there 5 year old or to mak things more fun how bout fixing the issue in the womb since it has been establised that the fetus is an extention of the mother? (This could go eaithe way in that gay children could be the order of the day)
